Beautiful bridal skin

Well ladies - Bridal season is well and truly upon us! I'm In-undated with queries for 2015/2016 - and bridal trials are quickly filling my diary!

One of the most important things I tell each and every client - is how taking care of your skin before the big day, will not only make a huge difference to your skin, but also you makeup.

Imagine your face as a canvas - how smooth/hydrated/even it is will affect how any makeup product's that will be applied, will look.

I try to book trials 3-4 months before the big day. This then gives the bride, plenty of time - if needs be to adjust her skin care regime.

Here are a few top tips - that used regularly will make a HUGE difference to your skin.

1) WATER. I'm sure you have heard it all before, but drinking at least 2 litres a day, makes a huge difference to the skin. Until you have tried it, you really won't know just HOW much of a difference it makes.
Drinking enough water flushes away toxins. Your skin will look brighter, clearer AND younger. Yes, water hydrates the skin so it helps with dryness and helps to plump the skin.
You will see a difference within 4-6 weeks.
NOTE - You will need to be drinking at least 2 litres a day to see the difference. You dont need to drink plain water ( I find it hardest to drink 2 litres of plain water.. ) Try these new, fruit infused waters. I tried it with strawberries the other day - delicious!
Google how to make these - you can add an array of different fruits etc. They are very popular this year!

2) EYE CREAM. This is so important. The eyes area has no pores, so no natural moisture is created. This is why the eye area is the first place you notice ageing! The skin around the eye is also very thin, therefore fragile.
If I don't use an eye cream for just a few days - I notice my under eye concealer start's to crease and look dry.
Using a hydrating eye cream morning AND night - will make a huge difference to fine lines, dehydration and even dark circles.
I use a richer 'balm' by No7 - for the evening as my under eye is very dry, and it works wonders.
Use the cream under the eye, and around the brow bone - patting gently with your ring finger.

3) FACE OILS.
Yes, face oils. I have so many horrifed looks when I suggest brides introduce this into their skin care regime.
Face oils have been used in spas, for years - and now they are readily, mixed and available for you to buy.
Face oils work on ALL skin types - as they balance the skin. Oily skin will begin to re -balance, and spots/blemishes will start to subside where dry skin will begin to re-hydrate.
Oils absorb quicker through the hair follicles - providing better hydration.
One of my favourites, that doesn't cost the earth is Sanctuarys, Therapist Secret Facial Oil. You only need a couple of drops, each night. You can use it alone or underneath you night cream.

Some ladies have regular facials before their big day - but not everyones bridal budget will stretch to that. Create your own! Incorporate a gentle exfoliator, a face mask for you skin type and finish by massaging a lovely face oil into your skin.

Do this once a week - for a good few months ( and all the above! ) you will have gorgeous, glowing bridal skin by the time you say 'I do!'
